I'm running XP and tried installing Darkstone several times, using a variety of compatibilty mode combinations as well as straight from the CD. Every time I try, I get an error: -1 General file transfer error. It's been installed on other systems with no problems, but no matter what I try, it's not installing on XP. I've read in other forums that it has been installed successfully under XP with no problems. I'm not ruling out a problem with the CD-ROM drive, although I've had no problems installing anything else from the CD-ROM drive. I'm also not ruling out a problem with the CD itself, even though it's been used to install previously on my 2 older systems.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
