very giood read - my uncle was thining of a wireless lan and first thing i told him was security - and that if he does not know something about it first - he might as well put a welcome sign on his front door for everyone to come and leech his Inet and files!

now just imagine the difficulty in getting 802.1x as well as VPN authentication to work over a heterogenous environment ..... PDA's, laptops, tablet PCs, blackberry ...... then from Windows ... Linux .... Apple....

HA is a wonder that after 6 months, we are still in "beta" for our wireless environment smile

Got another "difficulty" that is being faced

End users setting up there own "unsecure" access points ... and then tracking down these AP.

Setting up a corporate/environment policy helps ....... but still, we have those rogues as well...
