S.M.A.R.T. technology for HD

does someone know about that???...ya' i suposse that it's for increasing the transfer speed on the HD, but dunno nothing else and i need some info about it.

Actually it just monitors the hard drive and will warn you if it detects that you may start having problems with it. it will give you a message at boot up stating it detected errors on the drive and you should make a back up and replace the drive.
only works on drives that support the technology and most newer drives do.

8) ooops!!, i was very mistaken!!, but i was thinking that 'cause each time i saw the error mssg "Primary master S.M.A.R.T. fail", the HD's transfer speed was really slow....so thx a looot
