Well, the beta hasn't started yet, so I would expect at least another 3-4 months.

I've still got my workstation & server at work ready for the first beta release that I used for the SP3 beta testing.

I hope that SP4 is as stable in it's first beta as SP3 was.
I really didn't have many problems with SP3 at all through the beta stages (well until about halfway through when they managed to break loads of things over two builds).
