virtual NIC service

Anyone know what virtual NIC service running as PackethSvc.exe does. I did a search and found nothing. Also, no info is given is the Administration, Services. I'm trying to get rid of anything I don't need.

If you do a find for packethsvc.exe on your computer (make sure show hidden files and folders is selected in Folder Options) and look at the Version information in Properties you will see that this file is associated with America Online.
