Does anyone know of a website that explains about setting up a server regarding Active Directory and creating a domain? Unfortunately, my course on Active Directory in school is next quarter and I was hoping to practice some over the holidays. Any help would be appreciated....Thx.

1. Windows 2000 Server or Advanced Server needed.

2. Start / Run / DCPROMO to begin Active Directory Services.

3. www. activedir.org ---> great mailing list
http://www.labmice.net/ActiveDirectory/default.htm

That should be a good start. Any more particular, less broad questions? laugh

If you have the time, just kind of play around with it, the help menus are generally decent. Don't be afraid to format and reinstall, several times if necessary. If you have a second computer, you can set up RIS (Remote Installation Services) and play around with that... That's the ability to install an OS image very quickly over a network. As DS3Circuit said, any questions, just ask.
