laugh hey guys,
Can someone tell me why my laptop running win 2k professional keep on giving me Application error when i run the shortcut for explorer through my desktop?

The error read " The instruction at "0x013a2a00" referenced memory at " 0x013a2a00". The memory cannot be "read"" shocked

I get this error if i try to open explorer shortcut which i create and sometimes when i open my computer. i tried sp3 also but no change. Mine is a P-3 configuration machine with 512MB RAM and 40 GB harddisk Laptop model is Toshiba TE 2000. Can someone help me with some info.plz frown

Have you had a chance to test your memory? I recommend MemTest86.

Are you service packed to the latest version?
Both SP2 & SP3 for Win2k added fixes for "Memory could not be read" error messages.
BTW - The error lies in them being displayed, there isn't actually anthing going wrong, just throwing up an error message when it shouldn't do.

yea he sez in his post that he has installed sp3
