Using 2 HD as raid with a backup drive

Hi,

I want to use 2 30 GB hard drive in a raid 0 and a 60 GB hard drive (possibly removable) in one system and I was wondering if that is possible. I'll be using the 60 GB HD as a backup drive so that I can take it from computer to computer. If it is possible, is it hard to do and does it require any other special hardware/software besides the raid controller to accomplish this?

If you know anything about this combination, please let me know, I would appreciate it.
