Hello,
I have been having problems running Unreal Tournament for a while. I originally thought it wasmy PCs configuration, or perhaps just the game. I recently picked up Unreal Tournament 2003, but to my surprise, I get the same error. The game just cuts out at different points in time. I can play for an hour sometimes, and other times, just for a few minutes. I have all of the latest drivers and game patches. I formatted my drive, did clean installs on everything. Many games just cut out on my PC like this. Other ons are GTA3, and Kingpin:Life of Crime, just to name a couple. I am running XP Professional. Here is my error and specs....
UT2003 Build UT2003_Build_[2002-09-19_17.26]
OS: Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600)
CPU: AuthenticAMD PentiumPro-class processor @ 909 MHz with 511MB RAM
Video: RADEON 8500/RADEON 8500LE (6166)
General protection fault!
History: UObject::ProcessEvent <- (HudBDeathMatch TUT-DM.HudBDeathMatch, Function Engine.HUD.PostRender) <- FPlayerSceneNode::Render <- UGameEngine::Draw <- UWindowsViewport::Repaint <- UWindowsClient::Tick <- ClientTick <- UGameEngine::Tick <- UpdateWorld <- MainLoop
Any help you guys can give would be GREATLY appriciated.
Thanks,
:x Chicken Nibblet :x

Any of your hardware overheating? GPU/CPU fans spinning up to speed?

I may be wrong but it seems that you are using XP without Service Pack 1
(build 2600 I think was the original release)
I run UT2003 on a AMD 1700+ with XP SP1 and I have no problem
You have given a date for UT2003 is this the 2136 build ? It think it was released later than 02-09-19 but not sure.

because you mentioned kingpin - life of crime, that game is so rocksolid so at least it has absolutely nothing to do with the games themself.
so maybe overclocked grafikcard, ram, heat...

Personally, I refuse to read posts that want help o "A problem"
Please put in the topic at least a hint of what the problem involves, like
"Unreal Tournament problem...."
