Direct X problem

Hello
When I trying play Need for speed 5. I get a error message
You have Dirext0. Please install DirectX 7.

I have Windows XP and my display adapter is Matrox Graphics Productiva G100 AGP....

Please help me ..

Did you try to install dx8.1 or SP1?

What happens when you run dxdiag?
