I have a user on my network who's computer screeches to a grinding crawl when he logs into our network.

Applications fly when he is not logged in and there are no mapped drives.

as soon as he logs in, everything slows down. it feels like we're trying to load every program from a remote location.

Word is experiencing it.
AutoCAD 2000.
virtually every app he runs will grind.

I have the latest Novell Client, SP3, all critical updates, fresh NIC drivers.

Any ideas?
Anyone had this happen before?

Ancker.....

I see no one has replied in about two weeks, so I guess I'll give it a shot. Have you tried replacing the nic yet? How about a clean os install? Replaced the cat5 cable from the closest patch panel/hub/switch? Just some ideas, let me know how you make out.

Actually it was resolved by removing the "Novell Workstation Manager" and some hard drive sync software installed with the Netware Client.

Thanks for you input
