Alright I am having a very strange problem here. For some reason after a while my computer thinks it it out of ram when in fact i have over 300mb of ram free. It gets to the point where when I right click the little menu won't even come up. It all started when i installed sp3. I got so frustrated that I uninstalled it. It was still doing it so I formated my computer. I reinstall a free win2k with sp3 slipstreamed in it and I still have the problem. I'm thinking it is something to do with my ram because I just recently added 256mb more but that was before i formated. This problem is also occuring on my server computer right after i stole 256mb of ram from it. If anyone has any suggestions I would be glad to try them because this is really pissing me off! laugh
Thanks for the help.

Personally, I'd download Sandra and set it to bench the memory repeatidly overnight...

Well it seems the pagefile is already set to 768 which is 1.5x my amount of ram so that's not the problem. I will try to mess with the ram later by taking one chip out although this was happening when I only had 1 stick of 256 in. It's weird that my other computer which has a stick of 32 and 128 has the same problem.

I think I might have found out why that was happening. Maybe it's just a coincidence but the other day my computer was up for about a day and a half without any problems, but as soon as i go into task manager to check my ram usage, it started to run out of memory. I just let it sit there all night and this morning I'm on it and it's fine. Could there be something wrong with Task manager like a memory leak or something?
