when i click on a file and ask for OPEN WITH fonction, i have liste of knowing application...but if i ask for choose application (from every king of .exe application of my hard disk) it open notepad...

So it's impossible for me to open for exemple .mp3 files without using winamp or mediaplayer....

i think it's a bug or a default programmation in my registre base...

please help me !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had the same problem so i spent about 1 hour surfing my computer and my servers registorys fond the bad key exported the good one from the server imported in my computer and wala !!! if you still have the problem let me no i still have the reg key but i will have to boot into xp to see if its in the same place

let's try the register key tips, and after, may be a reinstallation...

When i used windSHIT 98 or 2000, i use to reinstall every month, some time more........but XP still run from the same installation since 1 year now.

This system was so stable, and the multiuser acount will be hard to reinsstall without forgeting some configurztion
