Major problem here, i formatted my comp, and now i can no longer suspend, the command is there, but when i try it, it says preparing to stand by but instantly locks up.

Im running win2k sp3, amd k7m motherboard, athlon 500. I installed the via 4 in 1 drivers which have power management drivers for my motherboard. in device manager there are no problems, but i cant stanby even though i could before i formatted, whats wrong?!

sorry false alarm, i fixed the problem. I had to simply uninstall all the power management drivers (under system in device manager). This included anything about power or ACPI. i rebooted, reinstalled some drivers and stanby now works.
