Hi Folks..

The solution..

Run through the webupdate guide..

When the download fails, do nothing..

Go to the c:/programs/philips/ (or where you sellected the program to place.)
There will be a dir called 'download'

Make backup of this dir.

End the download guide, the original download dir wil dissapear along with some other files..

Now you can install the driver from the download dir, the installation needs one file from the original cdrom, so have that one ready..

Best regards: Kim Monberg, Denmark.

Hi destiny-enjoyed,

According to the original website of the Philips company there's one solution: don't install any Philips driver and plug in the device. Windows XP will recognize the camera immediately, and Dr. Philips solves all your problems.

No such luck! :x

Now I'm going to try the solution of our Denmark-friend.

Greetings,

Jo

[edit]When I select the download directory during the "add hardware" procedure, XP doesn't see any compatible drivers. frown What's the name of the files I need?[/edit]

Hi Kim.

I have tried what you suggest, but under Windows 2000, and have had no luck with it. What's the possible problem(s) ?
