how do i get fifa99 to work on windows xp

hi,
am trying to run fifa99, the full game on windows xp, but not showed up, even when i tried double clicking on it. i also tried running it in different compability modes, still nothing showed up. so i moved to plan b, by trying the demo version, and guess what, i worked fine in compability mode. however the game worked in my old windows 98 system. plz tell me what to do now. thanks
