Im getting ready to do a fresh format and reinstall of XP pro and would like to know how best to backup and restore my emails in outlook express 6. Thx

Backup the files in this directory for your Outlook Express emails:

C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx}\Microsoft\Outlook Express

And your address book is here:

C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book
