Regarding case fans I have 4 - I need to know what the optimal placement for these case fans are - I would think the 2 in the back should be blowing out, and the 2 in the front should be taking in cool air. That correct?

100% correct.

Normally the best way to cool your case is to go from bottom front, to top back. In my case I have an 80mm on the front bottom blowing in, a 92 just over the video/chipset/cpu on the side panel blowing in, two 80 mm above PS blowing out, and another 92mm blowhole at the top blowing out.

I have a full tower case with a ton of hardware, so you may not need as many fans (as for me needing them may strike an arguement) but its your choice as to how many fans you want.

Make sure to 'origami' the IDE/floppy ribbons or get a rounded cable. These cables impede airflow more than anything.

Another trick, is to grab a dremel from a friend (or if you have one) and cut out the stamped fan grill on the front of the case. The airflow increases dramatically when there is nothing there to restrict the fan, and the front plastic bezel will act as a crude fan grill.

You should really have more air coming in, then out though.. otherwise the air won't beable to circulate within the case.

Also I believe it is best to keep your case under negative pressure...
