Just found this out today, but hotmail is sharing your email address and personal info BY defualt on hotmail. (if you put in real info)

What you need to do if you have a Hotmail email account is

1. Go to http://www.hotmail.com
2. Log in
3. Go to "Options"
4. Then to "Personal Profile"

You will then see:

You can speed registration and get personalized services at participating sites by sharing your .NET Passport information with them when you sign in.

Choose how much of your .NET Passport information Microsoft can share with other companies' .NET Passport sites at sign-in:


_ Share my e-mail address.
_ Share my first and last names.
_ Share my other registration information.

Uncheck all of them, unless you wish to use this new service.
