You ever been playin Counter-Strike on 56k and all of a sudden you get this fkn STUPID *** connection problem or packet loss ****? Well I have and it sucks major azz. mad
Anyway Ive checked out the wires, no problem, checked the ISP they say i dunno (no help at all with Earthlink), checked Win98's internal connection siht, optimized.... frown What am I doin wrong? frown

.MSCONFIG.exe...selective startup...then goto the startup tab...uncheck the wcdmgr...schedulingagent...and quick time task...if it is there.....this will stop the auto update features of windows 98...then you have to reboot....you still can get updates thru the windows update icon in the start menu...but will give you more resources...and with these new found resources....you should get more FPS.and more bandwidth since there is no hole to M$

don't forget to check the counter strike website for updates...sometimes they have updates that resolve problems like what you are having
