Anyone tried RC3 & MX300

Just wondering if it helps the issue with SMP and the MX300. I hope so. (I want to use my MX300 again!!!!)

good question, i need to find that out ..i have an aureal card, but let me ask around abit, bbl.

I have an aureal soundcard as well and well I cannot live w/o sound (i am just picky) So to get on with my question does RC3 have native/working dirvers for the aureal chips set (aureal 1)

I've just looked through the hardware wizard under RC3, and there are

1. No Diamond sound card drivers of any sort.
2. No entry "Aureal" in the manufacturers list.

However, there is an entry "Aureal Vortex Game Port" under the "Standard System Devices" heading, so you can plug in your stick.

A friend of mine has MX300 on a single CPU system and it works under RC3. I just don't wanna try it on my computer

I just installed RC3 on my BP6 and the MX300 drivers now support SMP.

I just upgraded to 2183 from 2151 and my MX300 works fine. It was a little flaky in 2151, but so far it's perfect in 2183.

MX300 now has full SMP support in 2183[RC3] so if you have dual cpus, what are you waiting for ?, the aureal card i have is using native 2183 drivers that it installed, i havent installing anything else and everything is working fine, i have the xytel platinum by the way.
