Shutdown/Restart problem

Its been shutting down and restarting fine until today. I haven't messed with any settings or anything i know of and now all of a sudden it won't shutdown or restart automatically. the blue screen comes up saying......saving settings......windows is shutting down and then it just hangs there. I have to manually hit the restart button or power button. Any suggestions on what is going on and how to fix the situation? Thanks in advance

This generally happens when something is running in the background and will not release. If you have an SBLive card, its drivers, for whatever reason, sometimes will not close down.
