Is there an explanation of all the services that runs on XP,and what would be the damage if some of them are stopped? Basic explanations from XP are not enough for me

This is a list of the services I have disabled or set to manual in XP pro at home. Keep a list like this of the ones you modify so you can easily change them back if you run into trouble. If you are unsure about a service, change it from automatic to manual, then check later to see if it started or is trying to start.
