Questions probably don't get any more newbie than this but, please try to bare with me. I'm using win2k pro NT, and all of a sudden my password will not work. I have an Admin password that works just fine as well as another "general user" (not sure of the proper term) password/login that also works just fine. When I try to got into user/passwords I can only view and change my Admin password or the Guest password. I tried using the search but some of the explinations seemed to be for internet servers or just over my head. The reason I need this done is because I never use the Admin or the other login. The one we always use is the one that will not work. So we're stuck. Any assistance would be greatly appreiciated.

Are you sure your account (not the admin one) is not locked out?

Acctually, I'm pretty sure it is. How do I unlock it? We use to have this problem at another store (a password getting locked out), and under the Admin password there was and option under the start button for User domains or somthing. The Admin login I use now does not provide this option under the start button.

Log on as administrator.

Go to Administrative Tools --> Computer Management.

Click on Local users and groups.

Double click users.

Right click on the user that is having the problems, and go to properties.

The last check box is "Account is locked out". Uncheck that box.
