locking computer

how come my computer wont lock i hit ctrl alt delete click lock computer type in pass word and still i can run programs far as i know that should lock every one out but it dont running win2k

From your description I'd say you're first locking the computer by pressing Ctrl-Alt-Del, lock Computer and then unlocking it again by typing in your password.

thats what i did i first locked it but i dont have to unlock it to use any program it doesnt even ask for my password but i did get it to work sort of i used a screen saver with a password

Lock -> Ctrl+Alt+Del then push enter. The computer is then locked.

You do not have to put the password in to LOCK the computer smile

What Admiral said sounds right, it does sound like you are locking and then unlocking without realising it.
