okay ive tried nearly every solution for need for speed high stakes to work but it just says the same thing again and again.

no matter what i do. after i install it it allways comes up with the error message "invalid argument, blah blah blah, patch restart"
no-one has even mentioned this error.

so if anyone knows how to make nfshs work on win2kpro please let me know. cause the way that this site tells me doesnt work..

thanks

Hi,

took me hours of messing... translating German (only instructions I could find :() BUT I've managed to get it all working...

On ur Windows 2k CD look in \SUPPORT\ for apcompat.exe Run this program and select to run Autorun from NFS:HS CD and under the Windows 98 OS. Leave all the other options alone.

This should start the installer successfully... once installed, download and run the 4.50 patch. With the patch installed open notepad and save the text below as a .REG file - double click and add this info to the registry, you should then be able to start NFS:HS Successfully...

DON'T RUN 3DSETUP (u'll need to re-do the registry patch if u do)

hope that helps
