Hi

Today i bought myself a Sidewinder Dual Strike. Sadly i cant install the software (v4.0) it came with.

Im using Windows 2000 and Direct X 8.1a with the 2. Service Release.

It tells me i need administrative rights to install the software. But I AM logged in as administator. So currently the Pad is useless to me.

Hope anyone can help me...

Thanks

Did you logon as an account that has administrator rights, or did you logon as Administrator?

I have the 4.0 Software. According to Microsoft thats the newest Version and it is supposed to work under Windows 2000 with some function limitations...

And its a USB Sidewinder.

This might be a long shot, but have you tried different USB ports?
