specifically...trying to import pictures does not work as it did under w98.

I can copy/paste a pi into an ole form field..put once the box loses focus, the picture disappears.

If i copy a picture directly into the table and then convert it into a device independent picture, it is saved. However, the picture will not display.

If i click on an ole field, with a picture i have saved under win2k,
the bkground image of the form flickers. This is the only way i know that there is anything in the field at all.

SO, without having to buy access 20000, how do i solve this very annoying incompatibility between access 97 (updated to most recent) and win2k pro (sp 2)?

(No one has answered me in the access forums nor can i find any relevant info at the MS knowledge base.)
