MSI k7t turbo2 vcore too low???

I'm using the above motherboard with an athlon xp 1700 which has a default voltage of 1.75 V. When i set my bios at the value of 1.75 the msi PC alert 3 software detects the cpu only runs at 1,67 V.
What the hell is going on? Is the cpu really only getting 1,67 V or is the Pc alert software wrong? I couldn't find any info on the MSI site...
