Hi,

How can a NT4-server get scheduled to start up,
e.g. each Monday morning at 07:00?
And to shut down Friday evening?

For shutting down there are shareware solutions available.

But for starting up we can't find anything at all.

Do you have experiences and hints?

Thanx :-))

I have seen hardware solutions to do this. Basically you dial into it, authenticate, then you can power up or power down your machines. They may have other features, but a basic hardware solution is what you are asking for.

Some motherboards have things like wake on ring and wake on lan that can accomplish this, however I don't recommend it based on what you described.

Quite a few new-ish motherboards have wake on alarm settings in the BIOS. I've used mine myself as an alarm call sometimes.
