Might and Magic VII (Help me)

When I start the game I get a popup that wants me to send in a error-report to microsoft. If i choose no the game quits. And i do not want to send the report to them.

The error (I copied all I was able to copy)

AppName: mm7.exe AppVer: 1.0.0.1 ModName: mm7.exe
ModVer: 1.0.0.1 Offset: 000d5af6

Hum, I did not have to do anything to run MM7. It is not running in compat or any tweaks. Just installed it and it ran. I may or may not be using hardware support. I can't remember.

Did you try my fix (like 10 posts down the page) to get it running in D3D?

I have the same problem and no, your fix didn't work for me.
The game starts up for a second and then shuts down.
The debug log gives a zillion error messages.
I can't run the game in any compatibility mode either, and changing my screen settings or selecting either software or hardware 3D makes no difference.
