XP pro and Epox 8K7A: Should I install the Via 4 in 1's?

I would, the service packs are intelligent enough to interrogate the OS. I belive the lateat Via just updates some .inf stuff in XP.

Is your system working? If so, leave it alone, If not, it might be worth a try. For me they have borked more then they ever fixed.

That's the AMD761/Via 686B board right?
If so, use the drivers off Epox site, not the 4-in-1's. Otherwise ignore this post.

Yeah thats the board, but I dont see any XP drivers on Epoxs site

Adding via 4-in-1 drivers to Win XP makes stuff start to act funny. I've tried it both ways, both on my Epox 8k7a, and it seems to be more stable without the 4n1.

I have the same mobo as you and I never install the Via drivers. XP already has 'em and they work fine, NEVER any issues.

I've heard they're 4.24s, but can't confirm it through Device Manager.
