Some friend of mine had to install Win2K pro over itself (don't ask me why, I don't know, to solve a problem I guess), everything went well, except for one thing (though not this problematic): the F8 boot menu has seen each one of its lines dupplicated (2 Safe Mode, 2..., 2...)...
Any idea about this ? How to set things right back ?
Thanx.

I guess the French do it differently ( :)) but did he just install "over" or did he use the recovery option?

Just edit the boot.ini file to remove the duplicate entries

Hem, Xiven
in a clean install of win2k, there are no lines for 'Safe Mode', 'Last known...', so I doubt they will be there in the boot.ini on my friend's pc, are you sure it is not somewhere else ?
Thank you, or anyone else !
