I was wondering if it is possbile to make WinXP shutdown my computer faster? Because right now it takes like 45 seconds to a minute to shutdown my computer. If I remembered correctly, when I had my WinXP installed fresh, it didn't take this long...may be like 15 seconds the most. Now it is taking a lot longer.

you can enable auto end tasks in the registry and/or use tweak XP or X-Setup to tell the registry how long programs/services should go before ending them, i set mine to 2 seconds.

Hi. I've read some systems with XP and nVIDIA
combo have this problem. The source tells me
disabling "NVIDIA Driver Helper Service" might
solve it.
Hope this would work.
