DAP (you gotta have SOME sorta software. I should try out flashget, though I just converted someone back to dap from it, the traiter!)

DAMN NFO Viewer (to learn about the stuff)
QuickSFV (to verify the stuff)
WinRAR (to extract the stuff)

BlindWrite!! (to burn the stuff)
Java SDK 1.4
TextPad (for the java)
Yea, that's all I really do, download and burn stuff. Sometimes I do Java programming at home, sometimes homework too. I more often play one or two of the games from all that stuff above.
If you like RTS games and want a good 100% polished one, go buy BattleRealms, it's tough and it's worth it!
Cynan, it's interesting to see what other people do with there time. It can sometimes give you a better idea of who they are and what they're all about. You shouldn't be so cynical, even though your name does look kinda similar.

so install both of those, and you have the same interface but enhanced speed/quality and features as well as bug fixes/compatibilty!!!
as for my favourite apps, well, I'm going to have to come back with a (large) list!
