better, but is that scroll bar necessary?

its just that those take up alotta real estate and they make a solid looking site look 'amatuerish' thats my opinion anyways

try something like this:
<TABLE>
<TR>
<TD>title stuff(wintweaks pic)
</TD><TD></TD>
</TR>
<TR>
<TD>
<TABLE>
<TR>
<TD>
<! this stuff is on left side>
</TD>
<TD>
<! this is for the main body>
</TD>
</TR>
</TABLE>
</TD>
<TR>
</TABLE>

of course, i cant see your source, so you may have done this, so you may have done this already. Just a note that a bit of help may be a reference guide for html tags. ie: over the summer I had a "Mastering HTML 4.0" book and it was worth its money just in the reference in the back. All of the modifiers for <TABLE> and <TD> and <TR> and all....seeing as though you are designing a web page, this type of thing is really handy to have at your fingertips for efficiency and keeping as much hair as possible.
