I reinstalled winxp and office xp and then used restore office settings to restore my outlook contacts. i also had to overwrite some files in the application data folder in outlook to restore my contacts.

the problem is tat now whenever i try to send a msg to someone, when i click send it gives me and error saying 'Operation Failed. An object cannot be found'. I tried reinstalling office xp, but the old settings keeps on getting applied so the same problem arises. I also tried uninstalling office, restarting and then installig office again but the old settings still gets applied.

can someone please help me?

no im not using any antivirus prog

it happeneed after i overwritten the outlook.pst with my old one, but now it 'remembers' the file location and when i reinstall it uses the old outlook.pst, and does not copy over a new one from the cd. if i move the old outlook.pst away, outlook wont start cause it will say cant find outlook.pst

wat i need to know is how to reset to default settings

In the outgoing mail server try putting the server's IP
example: pop3.xx.com --->200.45.191.2
