(I might aswell say hi since this is my first post)

Question 1: I never hibernate my computer, can i somehow deactive the
400mb hibefil.sys?

I just guessed that i dont need it, correct me if im wrong.

Question 2: Are there any threads or sites/pages with a "complete"
(DO note the "") collection of XP tweaks?

I suppose you well-experienced guys appreciate the new
not-so-totally-verified-to-improve-performance-tweaks more than i do.

I just wanna get started! (just upgraded from 98se)

If you aren't intentionally putting your computer into hibernation mode, then you don't need the hibefil.sys.

Go into the control panel "Power Options" applet, select the "Hibernation" tab, and deselect the "Enable hibernation" checkbox. The file should disappear either right away or after the next reboot. If it doesn't, you should be able to safely delete it after disabling the option.
