Win2k VPN Error 721

I have recently tried to put together a VPN server on my one Win2k server. I am on cable internet with a Linksys 4-port router. I have port 1723 forwarded to the right IP and have the server's ip on DMZ. When I try to connect to the VPN, it connects, then goes to authorize my username and passwd. It sits for a while then gives me error 721, stating the VPN is not responding. Any clues why this is happening? I have been trying to get this to work for over a week now. Thanks...
