Does anyone know how you can anonymously share files over SMB, and still stop the guest acount from logging in [locally].
It would be nice if you could make SMB use its on guest acount like ftp does or something...

any ideas?

Open the "Administrative Tools" and go to "Local Security Policy." Browse to "Local Policies -> User Rights Assignment." There is a setting for "Deny logon locally"; make sure guest is listed there. I think it already is by default, but you can check anyway...
