Editing the Startup file?

Is there a way to edit your startup in Win 2K. It was easy in Windows 98 with the msconfig utility, but 2K does not seem to have this feature. I have looked all over and cannot find anything that will allow me to edit the programs that launch on startup. Any help would be great!

previously while using win 2000, the login was very fast but after i installed some programs it started working very slow. so i want to remove some programs from the startup. so how can i do that and which programs are necessary while booting so that i dont remove that program............pls help ;(
