Hi everyone!
I just upgraded to w2k and now one of my favorite games doen't work so I hoping that some you could help me.

In System Shock 1 the intro goes fine and the main menu too. Aswell as the difficult settings. But when the actual game load it crashes and shows this:

Our system has been shocked!! But rememeber to Salt The Fries
System Shock can no longer run due to a fatal error.
Error code 3007
Memory error
Not enough memory to make email cursor!

Common problem solutions:
* Increase FILES in config.sys to 30 or more.
* Disable SMARTDRV write caching
* Use a minimal config.sys and autoexec.bat

If none of these work, call Origin Tech Support

Any ideas? It souldn't be a problem since the NT kernel doesn't use the base memory at all, or does it?
I'm using VDMSound.

Also is there ANY way to get VESA2 to work?
I think not, but some of you might have an idea.

Old DOS games and NT just don't like each other. Too bad you don't have that 9x around still. If you still use FAT32, use a Win98/WinME boot disk and run the game that way.

Yeah, this is what I do now. I was just wondering if anyone got it working under w2k because it would be nice if I didn't have to restart my computer everytime I want to play SS1.
