Problem with Microsoft force feedback wheel

I have a Microsoft Force Feedback wheel, but I can't get the buttoms to work when I play GP3. When Im in the software everything seems to be working perfect, but not when Im in the game. I have win2000 now, but when I had win 98ME it work perfect!!

Do you know what the problem could be?!
