Has or is anyone else having problems running Bryce 5 under WinXP?

Everytime I run it everything just seems to die on my computer. I can't click on anything on the taskbar, I have to use the keyboard and windows key or alt tab to switch out of things. And I can't get any other programs to run while Bryce is running. Just loading ICQ seems to take forever.

I'm running:

P3 1ghz
Asus CUSL2-C
512MB Pc133
Geforce2 GTS 32MB
SBLive! value

If anyone can help or has any ideas...I'd greatly appreciate it.
