how do you change it?

i really hate it,and display props/desktop/customize desktop doesnt work,works for my comp. and the other stuff,but not for the bin

get an icon editor to do the trick, i use 1 called E-Icons.

Others include Microangelo, or Axialis Ax-Icons.

Strange.... works fine changing it that way here...

yeah i know that now.

i was changing the full bin icon and mine was empty (how stupid is that),and then i changed them both to the 2000 ones-ripped out the shell32.dll from the 2000 cd,pointed towards it and that wouldnt work,so finaly i opened reshacker and saved the win 2000's rec.bin icons and its fine.

now if only the taskbar rising animation was here...
