XP and modem connection

Hi,
I have a little problem with my modem connection. In my previous os which was Win Me I was able to uncheck the option responsible for registering to network (what was totally useless, because it only wasted some time) in dial-up settings, but in XP I cannot find this option. It`s pretty annoying ... Thank you for your help.
