21.81 to 21.85
image quality got better if just a tad tiny bit slower.

21.83?confused

I am going to install them tonight since they are WHQL, but i was wondering what experiences every one else is having with these minorly differet flavors of DetanatorXP drivers on their geforce and TNT whatevers.

"The search for stability continues, Damn Creative and their suck *** drivers"
confused

21.83 seem just like the 21.85 so far.
same speed, same visual quality and same stability.

i think they are most likely just 21.85 but they went throught WHQL and to differentiate they gave it a different build number?

anyone got an opinion?

yes I have open GL lockup problems, what would powerstrip do when I install it? would I need to do something special?

BTW geforce 2 gts and computer hangs right after exit of quake 3 and half life.

all i did was install powerstrip...
and my lock up problems just went away...
poof!
no more lock ups!
didn't DO anything special... just installed it.
had lockup just like yours... EVERY SINGLE TIME i left a quake engine game...

but no more...

also i have NVmax installed with agp4x set using nvmax...
not sidebanding or fast writes.
hope this helps.

I installed it, turned off vsync in both opengl and direct 3d and clocked the ram and chip a little up, and I managed to exit quake 3 4 times before it locked up!

I also set my AGP aperture size to 256. Close but no cigar. oh well.

I had nothing but trouble with the 21.81s on my Diamond Viper V550 Riva TNT PCI:

But since I installed the 21.85s everythings appears to be fine.
