Anyone know of any multiplayer games that are playable over a LAN and still somewhat suitable for 5 to 10 year old kids ? Quake & the gang are just fine, but perhaps not what you want to give to children. The controls of most rally games are too difficult for kids.

Low learning curve and not too violent, with other words.

Nerf Arena was pretty cool, and you might be able to pick it up pretty cheaply now. It was based on the Unreal engine, and was quite entertaining.

Basically, you get different arenas that you run around and shoot various Nerf Toys at each other. There are kids in it for the players, and no rough language at all.

Worms...
Any version that has multiplayer.
it is 2 players only simultaneously if i remember correctly.

It has verry violent weapons like sheep bombs, kamikaze worms etc. it is absolute fun.
It should be quite cheap as well since it is quite old.

Hey is anybody up for a match over the net???

I think there was another game deer hunter, or deer hunter avenger. Dunno if it MP but looked fun. and there was another one where a piece of pepperoni shoots black pepper at evil sausages and bacons.
Again do not remember the name. sorry.
I will look them up.
