My system:
Duron 800@981
geforce 2 pro 32mb (240/400)
asus a7v-133
384mb ram
seagate barracuda III 30gb
SB Live! Value
Intellimouse Explorer
Microsoft Forcefeedback wheel
Logitech wingman extreme
Logitech Wingman Attack
Altec Lansin ACS54 4 speaker system
Logitech Internet Keyboard
Aopen HQ45a case
100base Network card

Windows XP 2600

The prog i use to make a http serva is OmniHTTPd, the prog for ftp serva is latest ver of Serv-U. When i make the http

serva, when another person with 100base networck card downloads a big file, say >100mb, he gets about 500kb/sec but if

he uses getright and segments it a couple of times he gets around 2mb/sec.

in the ftp, a big file transfers about 6mb/sec.

wat is the max transfer rate of a 100mbit card? mathematically, shouldnt it be 12mb/sec?

why is my http serva much slower than the ftp if only 1 connection is used? cause if getright uses multiple segments

each segment dls at 500kb/sec and it adds up? i did not set any spped limit on the serva, however i did allow 12

simultaneous connections, (but only 1 person was connected when the benchmark was done).

also, is it betta to just use filesharing? is tat faster than ftp/http ?

can anyone help me?

thanks
