There is a GUI console message sender for XP (you could try in 2k).
Follow these instructions:
1. Open computer management from administrative tools
2. Right click on "Computer Management (Local)"
3. Choose "all tasks"
4. Choose "send console message"
5. From there, it's academic with some good advanced features
This might not be what you're after, but it's useful.

ya i knew about that also... does anyone know if u can access that by running an exe insted of going through the work of opening comp managment??
also BTW APK... i didnt have to run the InstallNTNetMsg.bat i just opened APKNT4NetMsg.exe & it worked prefectly! THANKS

There is actually GUI for NET SEND -- or there used to be -- check the Server Manager (srvmgr).
